The talented Jason McGuire comes to Saturn Lounge with over 10 years of agency design and art directing experience. He said he applied for the job at Saturn Lounge because he was ready for a new challenge and wanted to “mix things up”. In his previous position, Jason worked largely for industrial design and construction clients as well as many clients in the hospitality industry. At Saturn, Jason has been working magic on our wide portfolio of B2B and consumer clients and has already carved out an important niche with his strong design skills and notable attention to detail.
When talking about his favorite aspects of design, Jason replied “I love being creative and particularly working on logo design.” He said he enjoys logo design because it “allows so much creative freedom” and because it’s a “fun challenge to build a brand”. Jason, a Carroll grad, was known as the kid in school always drawing pictures in the margins of his notebook during class and got his start in logo design by creating the logo for his band in high school.
Jason finds inspiration from reading a daily blog called Brand New that highlights different branding case studies and by following Aaron Draplin, a bold and prolific graphic designer from Portland, Oregon. Jason hones his skills and ideas by annually attending a national design conference and has enjoyed learning in various settings like New York City, Nashville, Austin, and Las Vegas just to name a few.
Known among co-workers for his positive attitude even in the high-pressure, quick deadline-driven environment of advertising, Jason stands out. He strives to turn things around for clients as fast as he can and always delivers a quality end-product making him a key player on Saturn’s team.
