We brought our A-game.
Radio has a long history of creating media stars out of its on-air personalities. In that tradition, Milwaukee’s premier sports talk radio shows and flagship radio station for The Green Bay Packers Radio Network, wanted to turn their guys from their morning and afternoon drive-time shows into television commercial pitchmen. Naturally, they asked Saturn Lounge to tell the world their behind-the-scenes stories.

What goes on when the microphones are turned off.
Talking continuously for hours on-air every day is a special talent. It takes hours of preparation. You need to be well read. You need to choose relevant topics your listeners will find interesting. You must do all the research, and even prepare insightful questions for any potential interviewees. And occasionally, be spontaneously funny in the studio.
Fortunately, Steve Czaban, Drew Olson and KB fit the bill perfectly. So, our Creative Director, Eric Olson, went along for the ride and shot these two videos, giving everyday drive-time listeners the opportunity to really meet the guys they know so well. Shot in their studios, Eric captured these personalities revealing some of what goes on when the microphones are turned off.

WE’RE NOT JUST FOR SPORTS ANYMORE.
97.3 THE GAME already had the sports enthusiast market locked down, but management knew that growing their business required broadening its audience. That meant expanding the range of discussion topics—a strategy that could attract a wider array of advertisers.
Saturn Lounge recommended an overarching brand anthem video. This video would reinforce the station’s position as Wisconsin’s authority on sports while also signaling to potential new listeners that “the game” might extend beyond just sports. It could be pop culture, local cuisine, new music, politics, or current events—even who Taylor Swift is dating (which, one could argue, is its own form of sports talk).
